We currently have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Admin support Engineer in our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group located in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

  • Be the primary technical administrator for the Configuration and Data Management and the Engineering department.
  • Manage engineering tools including CAD, Modeling, PLM, etc.
  • Oversee Windchill PLM and tools that integrate with Windchill PLM (CREO, Solid Works, Windchill, Workgroup Manager).
  • Proactively manage the health of engineering software applications.
  • Plan for future software needs and address issues quickly and thoroughly.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Work effectively with people.
  • Manage user accounts & privileges.
  • Setup and maintain projects.
  • Create custom reports & queries.
  • Assist engineering with tool problems and questions.
  • Create and conduct training sessions on tool usage for the engineering team.
  • Implement new process workflows & update existing workflows for program unique requirements.
  • Support IT with client installations & troubleshooting.
  • Plan, coordinate and perform software updates for engineering applications.
  • Manage database data items and properties.
  • Monitor tool performance and manage maintenance renewals.
  • Work with tool suppliers to resolve issues & plan updates.
  • Familiarity with Windchill PLM, Creo, SolidWorks, and ECAD applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with little direction.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software architectures and large software application architectures.
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of engineering software applications.
  • Familiarity with databases and database administration.
  • Familiarity with web software such as Java, PHP, Perl, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience in writing and editing HTML web pages.
