About The Position

The team is looking for a skilled and motivated Firmware Engineer that will be able to define and develop firmware platforms for current and future Apple products. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge in embedded technologies and environments to coincide with firmware and OS capabilities. Genuine passion for innovation and product development with experience from inception through delivery to customers. The Firmware Engineer will be individually responsible for all things firmware related. Architect, design, develop, and maintain hardware/software systems for Apple products. The individual will also be responsible for shaping firmware features from definition to launch with cross-functional teams in a highly dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge in embedded technologies and environments.
• Basic understanding of USB protocol.
• Experience with USB device and host software development.
• Experience with motion/motor control systems.
• Good understanding of how safety critical systems are architected.
• Experience with motion or environmental sensing technology.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Ability to optimize software for resource constrained embedded systems.
• Experience throughout full product and software development lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mechatronics, automation, surgical, drones, etc.
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive about solving problems.
