About The Position

We are looking for a Software Application Engineer to join our San Jose office with motivation
You will be responsible for the whole car software/hardware testing pipeline, issues reporting, and team communication.
This is an opportunity for a position in the autonomous driving industry with real-world experience in features testing.
The position requires spending long hours in the car and some physical work. This is not an office position!!

Requirements

• B.Sc. or Practical Engineer in Computer Science or Software Engineering OR any science degree
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of hands-on experience with C++ or similar (code investigation)
• Driving license – must.
• Willing to perform software testing and drive in the car at least 6 hours a day, this is a field position, most of the testing is done in the car.
• Good communication skills in English (verbal & written), ability to write clear reports.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with git / docker – advantage.
• Familiarity with the Autonomous Vehicle field - advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage Software test cycle which includes; running test scenarios, configuration management & code debugging.
• Report the main Software / Hardware car issues to the appropriate engineer, this needs an understanding of the technology and capability of pinpointing where a problem is located and who is responsible for fixing it.
• In charge of making sure cameras in the car are clean and the car physical maintenance.
• In charge of all computers and hardware within the car.
• You will participate in demos for visitors, and you will describe the product to the visitors.
