We are seeking an Application Tech Lead to drive the technical delivery, modernization, and operational excellence of core P&C insurance systems supporting Underwriting and Claims. This role combines solution architecture, hands‑on engineering, integrations, and production support, while providing technical leadership across distributed teams.

Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering enterprise applications with P&C insurance domain expertise.
  • Hands‑on experience with Underwriting and/or Claims systems and data models.
  • Proven ability to lead technically while contributing as an individual contributor.
  • Solid integration experience: REST/SOAP APIs, batch/file interfaces, messaging/event patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and release management.
  • Strong communication and cross‑team collaboration skills.
  • .NET (C#) and Python development experience.
  • Experience building microservices/API layers.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, incident/problem management.
  • Experience leading distributed teams

Nice To Haves

  • Guidewire PC/BC/CC experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with rating, document generation, payments, fraud, FNOL, and reporting systems.
  • Guidewire certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design, application enhancements, modernization efforts, and delivery outcomes.
  • Provide hands‑on support for complex development, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
  • Own and govern integrations, APIs, and data contracts across underwriting, claims, billing, and enterprise systems.
  • Drive engineering best practices including CI/CD, code reviews, automation, and quality gates.
  • Supporting agile execution, defines technical stories, refining backlog, and partner with Product Owners.
  • Communicate risks, decisions, and timelines to stakeholders; participate in architecture and design forums.
  • Maintain documentation including architecture artifacts, ICDs, runbooks, and release materials.
