About The Position
The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is seeking an Application System Analyst I to provide support for Epic Ambulatory applications in a hybrid work environment. This role involves performing routine analysis and design support services for assigned applications, ensuring that the systems function effectively and meet the needs of users. The analyst will be responsible for day-to-day tracking and follow-up on routine issues and questions related to daily operations, providing essential support to end users and assisting in the resolution of application-related problems. In this position, the analyst will conduct applications analysis and impact analysis of new or different applications, processes, or changes under guidance. They will participate in applications testing and assist with making recommendations for various development and support initiatives. The role also includes drafting written documentation of various types, such as application documentation, functional specifications, training manuals, and status reports. The analyst will provide assistance in project work, helping to design for each application assigned while adhering to change management protocols and user development requests. Additionally, the analyst will prepare applications documentation for support staff as directed and attend various educational programs for professional development. This position is crucial in ensuring that the applications used within the UMMS are functioning optimally and that users are supported effectively.
