The Application Support Specialist is a newly established role within the Advancement Operations team at Davidson College, reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Advancement Operations. This team is responsible for overseeing the alumni and donor database, providing essential data management and reporting services that support the college's fundraising and engagement activities. The role is crucial for maintaining and supporting the Blackbaud CRM database and other related data sources, ensuring that the college's operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this position, the Application Support Specialist will manage data inputs and outputs between the Blackbaud CRM database and other internal data sources. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate the use of data import tools, creating and testing inbound processes for internal use, and utilizing software tools such as CRM functionality, Kuali Build, and BrightVine Data Link to execute bulk data inserts and updates. The specialist will also assist with help desk tickets using Zendesk, which houses all requests for assistance related to Blackbaud CRM and BBIS from College Relations and staff, ensuring that requests are completed or assigned to the appropriate team members. Additionally, the role involves assisting with data migration and integration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations. The Application Support Specialist will work collaboratively with the Advancement Operations team and campus stakeholders to maintain data entry standards and data integrity. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining export definitions, ad hoc queries, selections, and datalists within Blackbaud CRM, providing application support in areas such as batch templates configuration, job scheduling, duplicate record management, and code table maintenance, as well as executing assigned administrative tasks.
