About The Position

Paperless Environments® has been revolutionizing our accounts payable workflow automation and document management software since 2005. Our innovative software solutions are used by over 2,000 customers in all 50 states and 5 other countries. Our software enables customers to efficiently manage their accounts payable processing through workflow automation, document management, and accounting system integration. Our products have wide ranging tech stacks that include desktop, SaaS, and mobile offerings. We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to help customers troubleshoot and get the most out of our software. In this role, you'll answer customer questions, diagnose software issues, and work with our development team to improve the product. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and wants to grow in the software industry. Location Requirement: This position requires the employee to work from our Baton Rouge office and reside in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area. Remote work and relocation assistance are not available for this role.

Requirements

  • Experience in a software support role or a similar technical support position
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent software troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to learn software systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Windows Security, basic networking, and/or SQL queries is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of accounting software, basic accounting principles, and terminology
  • Background in document management or automated workflow software

Responsibilities

  • Help customers troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Answer "how-to" questions and guide users through solutions
  • Communicate with customers via support tickets, phone, and screen sharing
  • Document issues and resolutions in our support system
  • Work with our development team to report bugs and improve the product
