About The Position

The Application Support Analyst Sr is responsible for identifying, mapping, measuring, analyzing, and improving clinical and business processes, as well as addressing moderate to complex problems and requirements for assigned applications. The role involves performing current and future workflow analysis, developing test plans and scripts, facilitating software transitions, and ensuring accurate data maintenance. The analyst will also guide and mentor other application support staff, develop training modules, and consult with various stakeholders to resolve application issues.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in interface between application users, vendors, and technical experts.
  • Advanced knowledge of managing applications and technical components.
  • Project management experience with ability to use project management software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem and issue resolution skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, maps, measures, analyzes and improves clinical and business processes.
  • Performs current and future workflow analysis and maps out critical business processes.
  • Develops test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate performance of clinical/business functions.
  • Conducts unit, integration, and end-user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitates clinical/business practice processes for successful software transitions.
  • Translates user requirements into functional design specifications.
  • Guides and advises regarding processes and issue resolution.
  • Develops and maintains process documentation.
  • Reviews data integrity and audits reports to identify/resolve potential issues.
  • Develops end user training/education modules and delivers training.
  • Consults with providers and leadership to identify problems and resolutions.
  • Creates project timelines and develops plans for project completion.
