About The Position

The Applications Support Administrator II at the Colorado Springs Police Department is responsible for delivering critical public safety technology support. This role focuses on deploying, configuring, and supporting mission-critical applications, particularly Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. The successful candidate will ensure that applications meet business requirements, assist in transitioning from legacy systems, manage security and access controls, and provide ongoing user support to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related area of study.
• Three years of full-time professional experience in a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting software solutions, especially in public safety environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for software, hardware, and server integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure COTS and SaaS software to meet agency business requirements.
• Assist in the migration from existing applications to new solutions with minimal disruption.
• Plan and execute integration and acceptance testing for new and updated applications.
• Customize and configure public safety application modules to meet operational needs.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans and troubleshoot user testing issues.
• Provide end-user training on newly implemented applications and document configurations.
• Offer Tier II application support, troubleshooting user issues and resolving software problems.
• Collaborate with various CSPD divisions and partner agencies to identify business needs and recommend software solutions.
