Job Summary: The Application Specialist VI provides senior-level support, development, and analysis for mission-critical enterprise applications, ensuring reliable performance, secure access, and alignment with business and mission needs. This role serves as a technical expert supporting application deployment, enhancement, troubleshooting, and user engagement across multiple business areas, with a strong focus on federal and enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience supporting, analyzing, and developing enterprise applications.
  • Experience as a Programmer Analyst, including application analysis and design.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience using: Visual Basic .NET C#
  • Minimum 5+ years of application support experience in production environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level applications spanning two or more business areas.
  • Strong knowledge of application development and lifecycle processes, including: Programming
  • Testing
  • Debugging
  • Implementation
  • Documentation
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and scheduling capabilities.
  • Proven ability to resolve highly complex technical and functional issues.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within large, diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-critical support environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Federal application experience preferred.
  • Experience with SQL and reporting tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise application architectures and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Support mission-critical enterprise applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
  • Perform application deployment, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues related to: Performance
  • Access and security
  • Functional behavior
  • Interface directly with end users, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Participate in application analysis and design, including requirements gathering and solution validation.
  • Support testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation of application changes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date application documentation, procedures, and support artifacts.
  • Support and analyze financial processes, including application-driven workflow modifications.
  • Contribute as a senior member of large project teams, collaborating across business, management, and IT disciplines.
