About The Position

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Application Specialist I to join our IT support team. Summary: In this role, you will provide second-level support for critical business applications, ensuring smooth operation and timely resolution of issues. You will work closely with frontline IT support, investigate escalated incidents, and fulfill application-specific service requests.

Requirements

  • Experience with knowledge management systems and methodologies
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools
  • Proven ability to support enterprise-level applications in a virtual environment
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem identification techniques
  • Hands-on experience supporting technology systems
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with InfoPro and/or AS400 would be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents and service requests
  • Prioritize and schedule tasks to minimize business disruption
  • Apply temporary fixes and workarounds to maintain application functionality and security
  • Document solutions and update the knowledge base to support future issue resolution
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with stakeholders regarding new or ongoing issues
  • Perform after-hours data changes on production systems as needed
  • Take on additional duties as assigned
