Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Application Software Assistant Program Manager. This position is located in Huntsville, AL and supports the Command & Launch program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

  • Act as the Delegate of Authority for the C2AS Program Manager
  • Provide technical leadership to the C2AS team
  • Review work products to ensure compliance with standards and ensure a high level of quality
  • Collaborate with external organizations, customers and stakeholders to resolve blockers and provide status and technical information
  • Perform budgeting, scheduling planning and reporting
  • Develop a vision for the team, set priorities, and communicate those to the team effectively
  • Monitor the progress of the team towards milestones and take actions as necessary to ensure on schedule completion
  • 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 1 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgrounds
  • IASAE III (e.g., CCSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP) certification
  • IAT II (e.g., Security+, CISSP) certification
  • Understanding of OSI Open Systems Interconnection model and the impact of each level to the design of a network architecture
  • Experience developing web-based applications on a cloud-based platform
  • Experience deploying containerized applications in a Kubernetes framework
  • Experience using Model Based Systems Engineering to model software functions using Cameo
  • Experience using Unified Modeling Language to document software design using Cameo
