JOB PROFILE APPLICATION SALES ENGINEER Working location: USA Field General Description Reporting to the Regional Manager, the goal of this position is to sell paper machine clothing to the industrial and/or paper manufacturing market

Requirements

Education and Experience: Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, and/or extensive maintenance, production, or sales experience within the paper or other related applicable industry
Languages: English
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven mechanical aptitude, and a strong entrepreneurial drive
Requires strong computer skills, including a strong understanding of Word, Excel, and general database management
Extensive travel within the assigned region is required.

Responsibilities

Optimize operating efficiencies of customers’ equipment utilizing proprietary modeling software programs.
Ensure trouble-free runs of paper machine clothing through proper selection of products to meet application needs and follow-up inspection services during machine down-days.
Work with customers to solve machine operating problems through innovative applications of paper machine clothing, and services.
Develop strong inter-reliant relationships with customers through quality on-site service and social interaction.
Provide customer feedback to manufacturing plants, applications team, research, and sales management.
Manage the post-sale activities of an order to ensure timely deliveries of a quality product.
Mitigate warranty settlement costs while maintaining customer relationships and confidence in AFR paper machine clothing products.
Communicates field activity, including sales opportunities, inter-company items, and competitive issues to the appropriate Regional Manager.
Manage an expense budget within the guidelines provided.
Take ownership of a specified territory and devise strategies to meet sales objectives.
Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
