In this position you will help facilitate a great customer experience throughout the application process, while allowing sales representatives to focus on selling the BILL S&E product. As an Application Process Manager, you will own the day‑to‑day support of BILL Spend & Expense applications that power our customers’ onboarding and ongoing usage. You’ll act as the primary point of contact for application‑related questions and issues, partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure our workflows are efficient, compliant, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Requirements

  • Proven experience in using creative problem-solving to minimize risk and maximize revenue.
  • Skilled in gathering sensitive information, processing applications, or conducting audits.
  • Strong ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions, and take action with solid independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills.
  • Expertise in client relationship management and customer service , including de-escalation techniques.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, ensuring quality and consistency in output.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Skilled communicator and presenter, adept at finding the best fit between applicants and BILL.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in high‑volume, time‑sensitive environments where accuracy and consistency matter.
  • Background in credit underwriting, KYC/KYB, payments, or risk in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with prospects, sales representatives, and sales managers to ensure applications are completed, signed, and comply with our compliance and risk protocols.
  • Resolve client concerns and deescalate frustrations related to the application process.
  • Gather and compile all necessary prospect information to effectively represent them to risk and underwriting teams.
  • Use discretion to address objections, deciding when to challenge internal teams versus requesting additional information from clients.
  • Understand BILL’s underwriting methods and help determine the best fit for each applicant.
  • Facilitate the risk and underwriting processes by understanding the industries we serve and employing creative problem-solving to successfully assist in completing applications.
  • Meet and collaborate with sales representatives to set strategic goals that ensure quota targets are met.
  • Direct sales representatives on the application process and credit policies.
  • Manage application pipelines and service level agreements (SLAs), assisting in progressing deals through the sign-up process.
