About The Position

The Application Manager role for Centerline Logistics is responsible for the oversight, support, and lifecycle management of enterprise business applications across the organization. This role ensures applications are reliable, secure, well-documented, and aligned with business processes. The Application Manager serves as the primary point of ownership for key systems, partners with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, and supports application strategy, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of application support, change management, and system integrations.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, databases, and data flows between systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and coordinate resolution across teams.
  • Experience working with vendors, contracts, and service level agreements.
  • Strong documentation and process ownership skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in fast-paced, business-critical environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset with emphasis on reliability and usability.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and clearly present application solutions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of enterprise applications from implementation through retirement.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for application support, escalations, and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with business units to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and improve application usage.
  • Ensure application availability, performance, data integrity, and security.
  • Coordinate application upgrades, patches, releases, and testing efforts.
  • Manage user access, roles, permissions, and application-related audits.
  • Oversee application integrations, data flows, and dependencies between systems.
  • Document application configurations, procedures, workflows, and support processes.
  • Recommend and implement improvements, enhancements, or replacement solutions.
  • Support IT projects involving application deployment or process optimization.
  • Provide Tier 3 application support and mentor helpdesk staff on application-related issues.
  • Participate in emergency response and after-hours support when required.
