Keysight is seeking an intern to support Keysight’s cutting-edge electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) solutions as part of the Aerospace Defense & Government Solutions group. We are looking for an Application Engineering intern that will work closely with our engineers to help create technical demonstrations and manage the compute and instrument infrastructure to showcase the capabilities of our state-of-the-art hardware for electronic and RF signal generation. Requirements

  • Availability to be on-site at Colorado Springs office through December 2026
  • Completed Sophomore year in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline with the experience described in these qualifications
  • Experience building computers from components: motherboards, CPUs, PCIe boards; installing and managing linux servers
  • Experience assembling and running electronic systems. E.g. datacenter computing racks, HAM radio equipment, A/V studios.
  • Proclivity towards projects that involve working hands on with hardware, lab equipment, servers and racks.
  • Self-starter. Able to quickly learn new applications and technologies needed to complete tasks independently
  • US Citizen with eligibility to receive a security clearance in the future
  • Candidates who wish to be considered must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as of September 2026. Applicants who have graduated before September 2026will not be considered unless they are starting a MS or PHD program after graduating.
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates who now or at any point in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B Visa status) may not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assembling and configuring LAN networks: 10 & 100GbE Ethernet, Switches, Optical transceivers, VLANs, routing tables, RDMA
  • Experience with Electronic test and measurement instruments (Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
  • Experience with Software defined radios
  • Software development with Python, C#, C
