The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As the Application Engineering Adv Specialist – Paint Application Solutions Portfolio (incl. robotics, automation), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Focus, drive, and grow the Paint Application Solutions portfolio, including robotics and automation. Support MSOs (Multi-Shop Organizations) with technical engagement related to paint processes (paint efficiency). Lead efforts to translate customer needs into product development goals, build internal expertise, and help customers implement new products and solutions within the collision repair industry. Collaborate with product development teams, channel partners, and business teams to deliver practical solutions for customers. Create and implement customer‑facing technical collateral and training content. Identify future business opportunities, product improvement needs, and barriers to commercialization. Support and troubleshoot sales professionals and end‑users with new system setups. Conduct hands‑on product demonstrations for large groups, including internal and external training sessions. Perform field testing and new product evaluations. Test and benchmark the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • A technical diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technically aligned, customer focused role in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Current valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, engineering, or business discipline from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in the collision repair industry; especially collision repair painting experience
  • Previous experience serving industrial markets such as collision repair, paint industry, manufacturing, OEM, or insurance industry.
  • Previous hardware / software experience with automotive calibration & diagnostic equipment
  • Previous experience in application engineering, technical service, technical training and/or technical sales.
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation)
  • Ability to efficiently analyze, solve problems and implement solutions.
  • "Can do/will do" attitude.
  • Possess strong & effective "hands-on" demonstration techniques.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work and take individual initiative and responsibility for assignments independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with statistical software is a plus.
  • Ability to solve problems and apply new knowledge to practical situations.
