The Impact You'll Make in this Role As an application engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Providing global support of 3M subsidiary application engineers with regards to hearing protection products Supporting current products and New Product Introductions (NPI) including creating user instructions, conducting customer acceptance trials, assisting with claims substantiation and documentation, and understanding and communicating customers' needs to internal cross functional teams. Working with global, regional and local customers regarding the proper selection and use of hearing protection products. Supporting other aspects of the PSD product line including training and education, customer and distributor support and support of global technical service personnel. Conducting customer training and industry presentations on technologies, product selection and use of PSD products. Developing customer support materials including written articles, webinars, seminars, posters, datasheets, and technical data bulletins. Supporting field research studies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational health, safety, or a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of combined occupational health and safety experience and/or experience with personal protective equipment in a private, public, government or military environment
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited institution
3M application engineering experience with personal protective equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills and be proficient at oral and written communications
Customer-focused self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment, with an appropriate sense of urgency

Responsibilities

Providing global support of 3M subsidiary application engineers with regards to hearing protection products
