We are currently searching for an experienced CNC Application Engineer, This position serves as a key technical resource throughout the full customer lifecycle, providing both pre-sales support and post-sales project engineering for DN Solutions’ high-end products. The role is responsible for developing turnkey and technical solutions that highlight product capabilities, supporting the sales process with demonstrations and proposals, and ensuring successful implementation after purchase. This includes optimizing processes, coordinating project execution, and delivering training and technical support to maximize customer success and satisfaction.

  • Conduct pre-sales activities such as customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessments, and turnkey proposal development.
  • Create manufacturing processes by developing cutting programs, tooling, and fixturing solutions aligned with customer requirements.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and time studies to support the sales cycle.
  • Prepare competitive analyses and technical sales tools to highlight product strengths and differentiators.
  • Oversee turnkey project execution, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to distributors and key account customers, including programming, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate customer training sessions on programming, applications, and advanced manufacturing concepts.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering during project implementation.
  • Monitor project outcomes and support continuous improvement to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design, or equivalent experience in the machine tool industry.
  • 5–10 years of manufacturing experience (Tool & Die, high-volume job shop, or production), ideally supporting aerospace, automotive, or medical industries.
  • Hands-on experience with DN/Doosan products (e.g., SMX, DVF) preferred.
  • 5+ years in CNC programming (G&M codes), process engineering, setup, and operation of multi-task turning centers and 5-axis machining (VMC/HMC).
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc, CUFOS, and Siemens controls.
  • Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, Siemens NX) and CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (Gantt charts, action plans) and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to work on-site in Schaumburg, IL, with 25% travel.
