2026 Spring/Summer Application Engineer Co-op - Charlotte
About The Position
Vanguard is a digital-first company that invests significantly in technology to enable our business goals. Our growth has led to an increased need for talented software engineers and technology leaders. We are looking for highly motivated and passionate co-op students to join full stack teams that will deliver business outcomes rapidly. Most project teams follow agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban; some are adopting LEAN principles. We are building Angular web applications and RESTful micro-services using Java hosted on the AWS cloud. We work on a continuous delivery pipeline using Bamboo and run automated tests using Junit, Protractor, Jasmine, and Selenium. This is an exciting 6-month co-op opportunity that begins in September and runs through March. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working alongside talented engineers and contributing to impactful projects from day one.
Requirements
- Must be able to start in September and end in mid-late March. No exceptions.
- Must be able to work hybrid model (Monday and Friday option to work from home, Tuesday - Thursday onsite)
- Pursuing a degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- 0–3 years of developer experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills
