About The Position

Vichara is a Financial Services focused products and services firm headquartered in NY and building systems for some of the largest i-banks and hedge funds in the world. The position involves leading and mentoring a team of developers to build applications for finance, trading, research, and risk. The role requires collaboration with finance, operations, and compliance stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, overseeing architecture, code quality, and system performance while enforcing SDLC best practices. Additionally, the position drives modernization initiatives, manages delivery roadmaps, and ensures compliance and secure coding practices.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in software/application development within financial services.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles managing development teams.
  • Expertise in C#/.NET Core & Framework, JavaScript, and front-end framework React.
  • Strong SQL Server background; relational modeling, optimization.
  • Experience with Azure Fabric and Power BI.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (Git, Jenkins/TeamCity, Octopus) and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Exposure to front-office finance systems, trading tools, mortgage/ABS/MSR workflows.
  • Exposure to platforms like Oracle Fusion / Oracle Financials.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making ability; able to engage across technical and business teams.
