We are looking for an entry-level scientist to join product development support lab to assess the application quality of our product sold to customers. This position will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction by assessing microbial viability. This position will also include assisting with and contributing to new product development initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives. This is a temporary, 8 week position located in our Hazelwood, MO site.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with microbial product testing and seed treatment with biologicals.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to occasionally lift or team lift 20 - 50 lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Automation and high throughput experience preferred.
- BS in Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of lab procedures, including but not limited to, microbial compatibility and viability assays.
- Assist senior scientist in product development efforts and formulation process
- Deliver routine and time-sensitive projects on time with required standards and documentation.
- Conduct high-throughput testing assays by leveraging automation and liquid handling equipment.
- Provide support for general lab operations.
