About The Position

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking a motivated student for a year-long Co-Op position within our Information Technology department.

Requirements

• Senior working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or graduate student in masters of engineering/computer science program.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of agile/waterfall development practices.
• Java stack development knowledge.
• MS SQL Server knowledge, including SQL Server Reporting Services and/or SQL Server Integration Services.
• Interest in or understanding of financial institutions and financial instruments.
• Current students and candidates with a strong interest in application development and who are able to work full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and developing systems used throughout the Bank.
• Involve in application analysis, development, testing, and providing assistance to IT staff.
• Expand financial systems knowledge through work on both internally developed applications and vendor-supported platforms.
