About The Position

As an Application Development Associate Engineer, you will be working as a core member of the IT Service Management team to implement a new ServiceNow system. You'll be joining a small team working at the forefront of a new technology. Once implemented your role will be to support the system and will span responsibilities from configuring the system to building integrations and much more in between. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skillset and work across IT teams.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in Application Development or a related field (ServiceNow preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
• Certification as a Software Development Professional is desirable in applicable technologies.
• ServiceNow certification(s) preferred.
• ITIL v4 Foundations certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with JavaScript, Python, HTML5, CSS3, and related tools.
• Familiarity with integration technologies (REST API development, SOAP based web services).
• Knowledge of Database Management languages and tools (SQL, DB2).
• Experience with Front-End Development tools.
• Understanding of software security technologies (encryption, authentication).

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a new ServiceNow system as part of the IT Service Management team.
• Configure the ServiceNow system and build integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, identifying and resolving defects and code quality issues in a timely manner.
• Perform quality assurance functions including unit testing, system testing, and integration testing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues in applications and provide timely resolution to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
• Participate in application maintenance activities such as application upgrades, adherence to security protocols, and user support.
• Obtain and increase knowledge with respect to relevant technology, tools, processes, and related best practices.
