The Application Developer is responsible for implementing and managing Zuora’s subscription management platform, which includes designing, developing, and maintaining advanced billing and subscription solutions tailored to meet specific business needs. This role is responsible for application development for Zuora’s Billing Automation Platform across multiple departments for U.S. clients and integrating the platform with Opayo, Talech (proprietary), CenPOS (proprietary), and GoCardless. Specific duties include: (1) developing, testing, implementing and supporting Zuora application systems; (2) configuring and customizing the Zuora application systems to support complex billing models and subscription plans including the design of product catalogs, rate plans and pricing structures; (3) architecting, developing and deploying automated payment workflows, incorporating Liquid programming and JSON logic to handle dynamic data processing and complex business rules; (4) automating recurring billing, invoicing and payment processes to improve efficiency and accuracy; (5) utilizing Zuora APIs to automate tasks and integrate with Salesforce; (6) managing role-based access controls and ensure compliance with data security standards; (7) analyzing billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement; (8) architecting, developing, and deploying Zuora platform solutions, leveraging workflow automation to streamline subscription management and automate recurring billing cycles; (9) configuring and customizing the Zuora platform to support complex subscription billing workflows, including the design of product catalog, rate plans, and automated payment processes; (10) utilizing Zuora APIs to automate tasks and integrate with Salesforce; (12) performing system upgrades and testing to ensure new features and updates are effectively integrated and utilized; (13) designing and executing automated workflows for handling complex revenue recognition scenarios, ensuring compliance with financial regulations; and (14) conducting user training and preparing documentation to ensure effective platform adoption. Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 2 years of experience analyzing billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Required Skills/Experience: Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: (1) architecting, developing, and deploying Zuora platform solutions, leveraging workflow automation to streamline subscription management and automate recurring billing cycles; (2) configuring and customizing the Zuora platform to support complex subscription billing workflows, including the design of product catalog, rate plans, and automated payment processes; (3) utilizing Zuora APIs to automate tasks and integrate with Salesforce; (4) performing system upgrades and testing to ensure new features and updates are effectively integrated and utilized; and (5) designing and executing automated workflows for handling complex revenue recognition scenarios, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
