About The Position

The Application Developer focuses on designing, building, testing, and maintaining software robots and intelligent systems to automate business processes and enhanced operational efficiency, enterprise integration, application and automation development tools, Microsoft .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server, to create, test, implement, and maintain applications in-house. This role utilizes demonstrated experience in troubleshooting problems, product improvement, and effective communication with both IT and business partners.   With limited supervision the Application Developer delivers secure RPA bots, automations and software applications based upon business requirements. This role must be proactive in delivering successful solutions, including helping define requirements, application development and deployment, implementing best practices, supporting testing efforts, and providing documentation while working with business units. The Application Developer proactively provides project tasks and status updates. This role may provide guidance to less experienced team members.  The Application Developer reports to the IT Manager – Member Systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of web application and database development experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Python, .NET C# and SQL Server programming
  • Experience with: Working with source control such as Github, or Bitbucket Working with Power Automate Working with PowerBI AI capabilities and machine learning
  • Must be bondable
  • Understanding of AI/ML learning
  • Intermediate knowledge of agile software development practices and methodologies
  • Intermediate knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of cloud services, such as Azure, and APIs
  • Competent in application development and third-party integrations
  • Competent in web and database development
  • Competent with .NET C# and SQL Server programming and data manipulation
  • Knowledge of application-specific security issues and mitigation
  • Familiarity with .Net Core
  • Familiarity working with Jack Henry (Symitar) products, i.e. RepGen/PowerOn, SymXchange, Payrailz, etc.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate or other RPA tools such as UiPath
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational, process management, and time management skills, with the ability to proactively and consistently meet deadlines without supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience building RPA bots utilizing Power Automate workflow
  • Experience building RESTful services using current version of Web API, Java, or other leading web services platforms
  • Experience building modern, responsive applications using current version of C#, SQL Server
  • Experience using AI development tools to increase productivity, accuracy, and efficiency in code development
  • Experience using SSIS and PowerBI Report Server
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
  • Experience leading/mentoring less experienced team members
  • Experience working for a financial institution

Responsibilities

  • RPA Bot development: using specialized platforms (Power Automate) to build, configure, and code automation workflows
  • AI/ML integration
  • System integration and maintenance: integrating bots with existing software systems
  • Application development: seamless third-party integration; secure coding practices, performance analysis, streamlining applications.
  • Application maintenance: debugging, troubleshooting and log monitoring including legacy applications, resolution of critical production bugs
  • Contributing to creation of Application Road maps
  • Participating in code peer reviews
  • Analysis and design: analyzing existing business workflows to identify opportunities for automation
  • Analysis and modeling: contributes to development deliverables such as data flow diagrams, class diagrams etc.
  • Analysis and modeling: contributes to client needs analysis, data flow diagrams.
  • Unit testing: contribute to test plan development, installation and execution.
  • Architectural design: interface/application design, and optimum performance.
  • Contributes to the adoption of continuous integration/delivery
  • Contributes to the selection of developer tools
  • Create and communicate documentation, technical architecture, unit testing follow-up, change management participation and user guides
  • Contributes to setting the development standards, documentation, test automation, build and deployment process
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Completes required regulatory training as assigned.
  • Maintains strict adherence to and compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls specific to the role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
