Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of data processing principles, practices, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of large integrated systems and event-driven programming.
  • Knowledge of Windows, voice response systems, and programming languages, such as COBOL,
  • Effective time management, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.
  • Ability to multitask, train staff, and use independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibility is to assume the lead role on the Ascend application for constituent management for Advancement. The product is used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports, necessary to support the development of custom reporting. Assist with the development of a data warehouse strategy and the leveraging of MS Power BI.
  • Responds to customer report requests and data quality inquiries. Includes administration, application troubleshooting, design, programming, and testing.
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding. Includes analysis and documentation of business processes and functional requirements.
  • Consider the business implications of applying technology to the business environment.
  • Translates functional requirements and prepares detailed report specifications from which reports are written.
  • May also serve as project manager for smaller programming projects, developing a project plan/schedule, coordinating the project team's activities, and reporting project status to management and customers.
  • Consults and collaborates with personnel across the Advancement Department and other technical departments to coordinate activities related to projects assigned
  • Prepares and provides activity and status reports on assigned activities.
  • Conducting investigations and experiments to verify the quality of software to provide an objective, independent view of the software

  • Individuals will also be required to work occasional nights and weekends, when necessary, and to travel (by plane, train, or car) at least 15%25 of the time within and outside the state of Georgia.
