The Human Pancreas Analysis Program in the Faryabi Lab at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine is seeking frontend web developers to support ongoing research into the multi-omics study of diabetes and other pancreatic disorders. Successful candidates are responsible for collaborating with backend developers to design, implement, and maintain a user-friendly portal for data management, integration, and analysis applications (Current site: Panc-DB). They will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of solutions for disseminating diverse genomics and imaging data modalities. Additionally, they will participate in the technical design and implementation of a large-scale, cloud-based data commons for diabetes research, including data ingestion, harmonization, and storage, as well as building user-facing portals for data querying and analysis with various interactive and batch-based tools. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to engage in subsequent data analysis, integration, and interpretation. The projects are mainly funded by the Human Pancreas Analysis Program, supported by multi-million-dollar NIH grants aimed at advancing understanding of the root causes of diabetes. Position contingent upon funding.
