About The Position
As an Application Consultant at IBM Corporation, you will provide senior level mainframe programming, analysis, and system technical support experience for active complex enterprise level projects. Your responsibilities will include assigning, tracking, and reviewing project tasks related to mainframe modernization, as well as providing mentorship on tools and technologies in relation to mainframe modernization. You will integrate existing complex and specialized legacy state enterprise systems with modern enterprise systems, support and analyze, design, develop, and test interfaces with the enterprise applications, and work on interfaces to convert existing data content to new data configuration formats. Additionally, you will create functional, operational, and interfacing code logic in Cobol, Java, and Assembler, analyze code for modularization, decommissioning, and refactoring, and utilize various programming languages and systems such as COBOL, PL/I, Db2, IMS, CICS, JCL, Data Analytics & Reporting, and Machine Learning.
