About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - Cloud Data Modernization position for our client. Location: Bakersfield, CA Duration: 12 months Overview: Lead cloud data modernization initiatives, ensuring enterprise data is secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Drive data governance, classification, and privacy compliance across systems.

Requirements

• Expertise in data privacy, classification, and governance frameworks.
• Proficient in SQL and data validation.
• Experience with governance platforms (Collibra, OneTrust, BigID, Informatica).
• Familiarity with identity governance tools (SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in cloud modernization or enterprise data architecture projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred), or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant cloud or data governance certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based data solutions and enterprise data architecture.
• Manage sensitive data inventories (PII, PHI, financial data) and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and remediate data privacy risks.
• Support data governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking initiatives.
• Provide guidance on cloud integration, access control, and identity governance.
