Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • At least 2-3 years of related experience (Required)
  • Experience in healthcare IT (Preferred)
  • Vendor certification (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technically challenging problems
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures (Preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated project management skills (Preferred)
  • Ability to assist with basic hardware configurations and database management tools (Preferred)
  • Applications experience in either an application support or implementation role (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Enhance, support, and maintain applications within the UPHS health system.
  • Manage application projects through the entire project life cycle while meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate the development of new functionality and implement scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.
  • Provide instruction on technical topics to team members and educate clients on system functionality.
  • Define system requirements and develop logical data models using best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for assigned applications to establish standards.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for application functionality changes.
  • Participate in system upgrades and scheduled vendor releases to enhance applications.
  • Work independently on complex projects with minimal guidance.
  • Deliver customer service to IS clients across system boundaries.
