About The Position

The Application Analyst is a full-time remote position responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying, and maintaining software applications, specifically the EZCall Scheduling software within UKG (Kronos). The role requires building expertise in specific applications and technologies, contributing to the specification and design development process, and creating system and operational documentation. The analyst will translate business requirements into software specifications and ensure optimal performance of applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and related work experience.
  • 3-5 years of IT application experience.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination.
  • Knowledge of database structure and reporting techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, modify, test and troubleshoot existing programs/software.
  • Analyze end user data and business needs to recommend changes and optimize program/system performance.
  • Develop deep application knowledge within specified focus areas.
  • Write and maintain application systems documentation.
  • Participate in IT workflow processes including Incident and Problem Management, IT Service Request Management, Change Control Management, and IT Project Management.
  • Translate business requirements to detail-level system specifications and evaluate against current system capabilities.
  • Understand workflows to meet business needs.
  • Effectively unit test all code and programs prior to releasing them to the quality assurance team.
  • Resolve all unit test issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist the quality assurance team in identifying test cases and creating/mining test data for thorough testing of deliverables.
  • Provide implementation/production support as required.
  • Evaluate and understand dependencies between applications to assess impact of changes.
  • Use knowledge of assigned application(s) to help resolve issues and drive optimal business solutions.
  • Support implementation planning for application program requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service to end-users and technical operations staff.
  • Assist senior development staff with technology integration within and across IT areas.
  • Work as a member of an application team and with other application and technical teams.
  • Support multiple concurrent work efforts and educate other team members.
  • Participate in creating and implementing improvements for clinical, satisfaction, and efficiency outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing operational system support and resolve escalated issues.
  • Interact with vendors on problem determination, resolution, issue tracking, upgrades, and fixes.
  • Participate in after-hours support as determined by IT Leadership.
