About The Position

Universal Health Services, Inc. is one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services. The Corporate Information Services department is currently accepting applications for the Application Analyst (Health Information Management) Internship. This internship offers the opportunity to work on real-time projects, develop technical skills, collaborate with various teams, and receive mentorship. The position is located in Brentwood, TN, with interviews starting in January 2025 and a targeted start date around the first week in June 2025.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related degree from an accredited college or university.
• Student must be rising into senior year (at minimum, must have 1st semester of junior year completed).
• Minimum GPA: 3.0.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Desire to learn and share ideas in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in lunch and learn sessions to collaborate on UHS IS priorities.
• Participates in IS projects.
• Shadows Information Services employees to learn the different roles.
• Gains familiarity with different healthcare IS systems.
