About The Position

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Application Analyst II to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role involves oversight and facilitation of resources on application activities, including second and third tier application support. The Application Analyst II will assist with projects related to upgrades and new application implementations, serving as an escalation point for application support and driving the implementation and utilization of key applications. The position requires responding to application/system issues, ensuring resolution and ongoing stability of the product, and prioritizing work based on customer needs and departmental priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of general work experience, preferably in IT or healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Support team, division, and multiple facilities as a key IT resource for application implementation and support.
  • Apply fundamental concepts and principles to solve a range of problems.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications.
  • Assist in multi-facility application implementation initiatives.
  • Resolve service desk incident tickets for assigned applications.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and/or after-hours support as needed.
  • Collaborate with resources to monitor and facilitate new application testing and implementation.
  • Assist senior and consulting application analysts in developing policies and procedures.
  • Promote and support application standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization efforts.
  • Conduct facility rounding to ensure support needs are met.
  • Implement action plans based on application data and reports.
  • Perform application audits based on policies and procedures.
  • Partner with teams to develop best practices and improve application efficiency.
  • Promote system security and patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
