The Application Analyst I position at UT Southwestern is an entry-level role focused on supporting and optimizing mission-critical systems within the Health Ancillary team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with moderate to minimal oversight in a dynamic environment. This role involves providing workflow assistance, troubleshooting, and support for healthcare applications, ensuring the integrity and quality of data, and participating in system maintenance and enhancements.

  • Provide workflow assistance, troubleshooting, and support for mission-critical HSIR systems with assistance.
  • Provide on-call after-hours support.
  • Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
  • Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation, and version upgrades with oversight.
  • Follow change management procedures for any system changes.
  • Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
  • Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
  • Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, computer science, or other related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: (HIT) Health Information Technology Certification upon hire.
  • Previous exposure to healthcare and/or electronic records is desired but not required.
