About The Position

Don’s Appliances is seeking an Appliance Technician Helper / Parts Runner to provide field and logistical support to the Service and Parts departments by assisting appliance technicians during repairs in customer homes and transporting parts, tools, and materials needed to complete service calls efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Able to pass a criminal background and drug screening
Must have a Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and move appliances and parts (up to 75 lbs with assistance)
Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions
Standing, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in appliance delivery, service, warehouse, or trades is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Assist appliance technicians on service calls as a helper or second set of hands
Help with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning appliances
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and work area
Always follow safety procedures and proper handling practices
Pick up, deliver, and return appliance parts between stores, warehouses, vendors, and technicians in the field
Verify correct parts, quantities, and paperwork before deliveries
Assist the Parts Department with stocking, organizing, and inventory movement
Communicate delivery status and delays to Service and Parts teams
Frequent driving between locations and job sites
Other duties as assigned to assist and support the Service and Parts department
