About The Position

K&A Appliance has been family owned since 1976. Buying predominately new, but scratch and dent appliances from various manufacturers & selling them on both wholesale & retail levels, K&A continues to experience growth & success in the scratch & dent appliance industry. We are looking for a dynamic Store Manager with extensive sales and/or management experience, to lead the sales & support staff for our quickly growing store in Exton, PA. They will be quick learning, attentive to showroom activity & to the needs of customers & staff, a competent leader able to enhance the performance of others and promote our company’s vision and culture to the Chester County community.

Requirements

  • The Store Manager must have proven experience working in a leadership role responsible for managing a team of sales & support staff.
  • They must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills; and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The position requires proficiency in the use of all standard business software, databases and information systems.
  • They must also have a good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Managers must be problem solvers who have a positive attitude and can handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid PA driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the appliance industry would be beneficial, but are not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive instruction & direction from Upper Management to ensure procedures, policies & communications are relayed to & carried through by sales associates & office staff.
  • Make sure showrooms are replenished with appliances & that sales/office staff are keeping up with electronic tags for newly arrived units.
  • Ensure that information that is relayed to customers from time of sale, carries through the process all the way to delivery/installation of customers’ purchases.
  • Ensure consistency in promotions, advertising outlets, information on company’s web-site, & what is displayed in the showroom.
  • Respond quickly to any customer issues that may arise.
  • Work with Social Media Marketing Associate to ensure continuity of posts to reflect accurate customer experience.
  • Track, encourage & reward quality performance of sales staff.
  • Track competitive pricing to ensure our customers are seeing significant savings on our scratch & dent inventory.
  • Adequate staffing will be anticipated & prepared for especially for Friday evenings & Saturdays, while the quality of service will be gauged and addressed in the areas of sales.
  • Ensure that all appliances in showroom are properly prepped for display, & cleanliness is maintained.
  • Other responsibilities as may be presented per review of candidate’s experience & capabilities.
