The Appliance Service Technician position is Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:00pm. Appliance Techs provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer and client locations within their assigned region. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently and has a very strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of appliances such as washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative services on appliances to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing their concerns and providing accurate information regarding the repair or maintenance process.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and any other relevant information.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical systems and appliances.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Basic Plumbing and Electrical knowledge
- Previous experience in appliance repair or a related field is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle and maneuver heavy appliances.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and will frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions.
