About The Position

K&A Appliance has an opening for a full-time Appliance Service Technician to work out of their Lancaster facility. The technician will diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers’ homes, assist with service repairs in the warehouse when needed, prepare invoices, and collect payments on completed service calls and any parts or additional labor costs from customers. The technician will also maintain the Service Van and keep it stocked with parts used on a regular basis, and communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator regarding service calls and any issues that arise. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5:30pm, with 40-50 hours weekly depending on the volume of service calls.

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years experience servicing/repairing major household appliances as a full-time employed technician
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on their own, lift more weight with assistance or leverage device
• Proficient in connecting water and gas lines and checking for leaks
• Provide excellent service and customer care during the service of appliances in customers' homes
• Must have mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things
• Protect the customer's home while working & cleaning work area of all debris
• Maintain professional appearance (Uniforms provided)
• Legibly complete all necessary paperwork
• Ability to work well under pressure & respond in a professional & courteous manner in all situations
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
