About The Position

Appliance Service Plus is seeking experienced IN HOME APPLIANCE REPAIR TECHNICIANS. We are an established company authorized for most appliance brands including Bosch, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, GE, Electrolux. This is a position for employment, not a subcontractor position. Opportunity for appliance technicians at established service provider for some of the best brands in the industry servicing the San Joaquin valley from Modesto to Tulare and Monterey, Santa Cruz area. As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work. You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too. Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems. Requirements

Enthusiastic, positive work attitude.
Knowlegable with ohm/amp meters, read and understand wiring diagrams, have EPA certification for sealed system.
MINIMUM 1 YEAR IN HOME MAJOR APPLIANCE REPAIR EXPERIENCE including proficiency with sealed system repair.
Pass drug tests, driving and background checks at time of hire and randomly during employment.
Currently have and maintain an insurable California drivers license.
Have good self direction and motivation.
Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

In home service and repair of major home appliances.
Use tablet/smartphone for remote dispatching.
Drive and maintain assigned service vehicle in a safe and efficient manner along with managing inventory and maintenance of vehicle.
Provide excellent customer service and meet productivity goals.
Perform all facets of employment in a safe and efficient manner for yourself, fellow employees, customers and general public.
Prompt and regular attendance.
Perform physical requirements of position including: extended periods of driving and sitting, uninstalling, moving and reinstalling appliances, moving, lifting, pulling or carrying a minimum of 75 pounds.
