As an Appliance Repair Technician Trainee, you will be running service work with senior-level technicians, learning the trade to be a high-end appliance technician. We work on a wide range of Appliances, from basic laundry to premier French ranges, wine cooling systems, and everywhere in between. Looking for someone with basic HVAC schooling, electronics background, plumbing experience, forklift or automotive repair, or a similar trade skill set. Knowing how to use a multimeter is key. We are looking for a well-mannered, professional-minded individual we can mold into a top-tier tech with 100k+ a year potential. You'll need to be able to show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. Training runs anywhere from 3-6 months, depending on your skills, willingness, and ability to learn the trade. A mechanical and appliance aptitude test must be completed before an interview. As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work. You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too. Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
