About the position
The Appian UI Developer will be responsible for software development, integration, customization, and support. The individual will be working with other members of an agile team and will be responsible for new development. Team members are expected to work closely with analysts and the line of business to understand new requirements and to deliver. The ideal candidate will be an Appian developer, with experience in delivering BPM solutions and an ability to learn.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Appian BPM applications including SAIL code.
- Work with Appian Objects such as Records, Sites, Actions, Security, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, and Groups.
- Utilize Appian technical documentation and user community to build new prototypes as required.
- Follow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile iterative development approach.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during project life cycles.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues reported by business users.
Requirements
- 5 years of Appian UI hands-on experience in development, configuration, debug, unit test, and documentation.
- Experience in one or more end-to-end Appian BPM or UI implementation (Design/ Develop/ Deploy/ Package).
- Expertise in designing and implementing BPM solutions for process simplification, case management, and role-based applications.
- Exceptional knowledge of BPM Fundamentals, Architecture Components, and Technical Features in Appian.
- Experience in design and development in Appian BPM including components such as Tempo, Forums, SAIL, Plugin development, Smart Services, Reports, and Deployment.
- Expertise in business Integration deployment and human task management using Appian 18 higher versions.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to work independently on assignments based on specific requirements.
- Experience with database design.
- Identify and articulate risks during development deployment.
- Coordinate and communicate with various teams with exceptional communication skills.
- Expertise in using CICD Pipeline for Appian.
