About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Appian Platform Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

6+ years of hands-on development experience with the Appian platform, including deployment automation using ADM.
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Urban Code, or similar tools.
Experience deploying and managing containerized microservices (Java, Python) on AWS ECS.
Strong understanding of AWS architecture, including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, and infrastructure provisioning.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar).
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tooling.
Experience with artifact repositories such as Nexus.
Hands-on experience designing deployment strategies, automated release workflows, and pipeline orchestration.
Solid understanding of enterprise security frameworks including Duo MFA, Zero Trust, IAM roles, IP whitelisting, and managed identities (MSI).
Strong problem-solving mindset with an engineering-first approach.
Ability to design scalable, automated solutions rather than performing manual operational tasks.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across engineering and architecture teams.
Self-driven, capable of owning platform components end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
