About The Position
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as an Appeals Assistant in the Appeals Division. This position involves monitoring and working with the Appeal Review Task Queue and Provider Appeal Review Queue in the Appeals Information Management System (AIMS). Responsibilities include verifying correspondence for client or provider appeals, ensuring accurate entry of new appeals, identifying duplicates, and obtaining necessary documentation to process appeals. The role also includes providing administrative support for formal provider appeals and cases filed with the Circuit Court, utilizing various systems and databases, and ensuring excellent customer service.
