About The Position
The APPE rotation plays a crucial role in advancing the pharmacy students clinical education and professional skills through hands-on experience in the managed care setting. This position is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the role of the managed care pharmacist and to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. To enhance the APPE students understanding of patient care and pharmacy practice in a health plan setting. The APPE rotation will help prepare students for their future careers by developing their clinical skills, critical thinking, and professional behavior. Students will work closely with experienced pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, to gain insights into the daily operations of a managed care pharmacy department within a health plan and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. Ultimately, this role aims to foster a stronger foundation for students as they transition from academic learning to professional practice in the field of pharmacy.
