About The Position

The Apparel Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production process across all product categories, ensuring speed, quality, and compliance. This role will manage global manufacturing partners and collaborate closely with Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing teams to uphold Comfrt’s brand promise of comfort, quality, and speed-to-market.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in apparel production management, with a proven ability to lead in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in digital communication tools (Slack, WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom) and analytical tools (MS Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Expert knowledge of apparel production processes, timelines, and compliance standards across global markets.
  • Demonstrated success in managing overseas vendors and large-scale production.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills across cross-functional and vendor teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally for vendor visits, audits, and production oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Own the management of full production cycle—from issuing vendor purchase orders to monitoring production flow through shipment—across all categories, ensuring alignment with launch calendars.
  • Timeline Control: Develop and maintain weekly WIP reports and production timelines. Anticipate potential issues, analyze root causes, and implement timely solutions.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong partnerships with overseas vendors (China, Vietnam, etc.), ensuring adherence to standards, timelines, and compliance. Conduct weekly check-ins to address issues and provide guidance.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify bottlenecks or delays early and implement proactive strategies to minimize risk.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, Technical Design, and QA teams to ensure production meets design intent and quality standards.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all production meets regulatory and sustainability requirements across U.S., EU, Canada, Australia, and other markets.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate production documentation and provide visibility to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements to improve accuracy, speed, efficiency, and scalability.
