About The Position

True Classic is hiring a high-impact, execution-driven Apparel Production Manager to lead end-to-end production across our Global DTC, Amazon Marketplace, and Wholesale channels — including big-box retail and roadshow programs. This role owns the full production lifecycle — from PO issuance through final delivery — with a strong focus on complex packaging, tight timelines, global coordination, and cross-functional execution. It is critical to protecting revenue, ensuring compliance, and scaling True Classic’s global production infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, anticipates risk, and confidently manages international vendors with precision and accountability. All roles at True Classic are global and omnichannel, driving accountability across product categories, regions, and sales/marketing channels.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of apparel production experience in high-volume, fast-turn environments.
  • Proven ownership of production from PO issuance through delivery.
  • Experience managing global vendors and international lead times.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Centric PLM, Anvyl (Sage), or comparable ERP/PLM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex packaging and channel-specific compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Amazon Marketplace production and/or big-box Wholesale programs (Costco, Sam’s Club, Target).
  • Familiarity with EDI and retailer vendor portals.
  • Strong Excel skills (costing analysis, WIP reporting, production calendars).
  • Background in menswear or direct-to-consumer apparel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary production lead across Global DTC, Amazon, and Wholesale programs.
  • Own execution from PO placement through final delivery, ensuring on-time and in-full performance.
  • Translate shifting sales forecasts into agile production plans without compromising deadlines or accuracy.
  • Ensure readiness for major retail launches, replenishment cycles, and marketplace inventory needs.
  • Oversee all production milestones using NetSuite, Centric PLM, and Anvyl (Sage) — from fabric commitment through final shipment.
  • Maintain accurate WIP reporting and real-time production visibility.
  • Monitor raw material commitments and safety stock levels to mitigate supply risk.
  • Review and approve trims, lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk submissions to ensure alignment with approved standards prior to production start.
  • Partner with Product Development and Tech Design to resolve any pre-production issues before bulk cut.
  • Proactively identify timeline risks and drive corrective action plans.
  • Manage compressed, high-pressure calendars with precision and urgency.
  • Manage and develop relationships with international vendors across Asia, Africa, and other sourcing regions.
  • Align on production capacity, costing, lead times, and packaging requirements across channels.
  • Lead recurring vendor check-ins and hold partners accountable to commitments.
  • Anticipate and mitigate delays, quality concerns, or compliance issues before escalation.
  • Own packaging execution across DTC, Amazon (bundles, hard packs), and Wholesale requirements (retailer-specific compliance).
  • Oversee PP samples, TOP approvals, inspections, and final QC sign-offs.
  • Ensure adherence to retailer routing guides, labeling requirements, and marketplace standards.
  • Partner with Logistics, and 3PL teams to guarantee floor-ready, compliant delivery.
  • Minimize chargebacks, delays, and rework through proactive oversight.
  • Support Sourcing with vendor performance insights and capacity updates as needed.
  • Share production-based feedback to assist with cost, lead time, and factory allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Tech Design, Sales, Planning, Merchandising, and Logistics to ensure seamless execution.
  • Communicate production updates, risks, and mitigation strategies clearly and consistently.
  • Use Slack, Notion, and project management tools to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between internal teams and external partners.
