About The Position

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high quality care. Scope of practice will encompass: Expert clinical practice Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems). Serves on call and weekend as required. Schedule will be a combination of nights/days, but will consist of more night hours.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
• Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Hold a valid, current New Jersey Physician Assistant licensure.
• OR Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing.
• Current Certification for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Registered Nurse First Assist (RFNA) certification if assisting in OR.
• Hold a valid, current New Jersey license.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field.
• Willing to train highly motivated individual
• Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.
• NRP certification, BCLS, PALS
• Serves on call and weekend as required.
