Bronson Children's Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Physician-Led Medical Group and growing Pediatric teams. This position involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide variety of Pediatric Endocrine Disorders, from common to complex patients. The candidate will work collaboratively with other Pediatric Sub-Specialists and Primary Care teams, and will primarily be in an outpatient setting with some inpatient consults. The role includes shared call responsibilities with other providers, supported by a robust triage system.

  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
  • Interpret laboratory and radiologic tests.
  • Formulate a diagnosis based on subjective and objective patient data.
  • Develop treatment plans under the direction of the physician.
  • Coordinate care with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate patient outcomes.
  • Perform initial comprehensive assessments to determine service intensity.
  • Evaluate and manage patients appropriately.
  • Complete necessary documentation for billing and medical care.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care.
  • Current prescriptive authority and collaborative agreement with oversight physician(s).
  • Pediatric Endocrinology experience.
  • Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.
