We provide, compassionate, comprehensive, and unparalled LGBTQ+ focused care to adults of the LGBTQ+ community in the San Francisco Bay area and from around the world. Our program is committed to delivering care in a safe, comfortable, and affirming environment. We are looking for an experienced APP (NP/PA) to join this supportive, collaborative practice in a combined Primary Care and Psychiatry role providing psychiatric care to LGBTQ+ patients who are experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. This APP will work 2X10s with 2 hours of indirect patient care time daily. New patient visits are 60 minutes and return visits are 30 minutes. The ideal LGBTQ Psychiatry APP would have experience as a NP/PA in both primary care and psychiatry. This APP must have the proper certification to see both adolescents and adults in primary care as well as additional training, experience, or certification in psychiatry. Candidate must have dual board certification as Psych Mental Health and FNP, AGNP, or PA with mental health and primary care certification. This is a Stanford Health Care job. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions under this Nurse Practitioner Job Description approved by the Interdisciplinary Practice Committee (IDPC). The NP provides routine are and management of the patient with acute and chronic complaints, in collaboration with the supervising physician, and through implementation of standardized procedures. Specific functions pertaining to the Service, Clinic or Department are established by the NP and his/her supervising physician(s), and approved by the appropriate medical and nursing administrators, the IDPC, the Credentials & Privileges Committee, the Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) Medical Executive Committee and the SHC Board Credentials, Policies and Procedures Committee. This job description covers all classifications for NPs within the organization. All NPs must meet all elements of the Essential Functions, Qualifications, and Supervision.
